the pu-tang clan consists of three musicians:

dj mc ytcracker - the front man.  born august 23, 1982.   founded the pu-tang clan in 1996 as a local rap group in the city of colorado springs.  ytcracker has been tracking since 1992.  a semi-veteran of the music scene, ytcracker's main objective is to get people to stand up and dance.  currently, ytcracker is an aggressive rollerblader and party dj.  his dj partner is dj funkyd.

dj kornpopz - former cereal killah.  born april 09, 1975.   resides in california.  sensai in the arts of roland 808 and 909 drum machines, not to mention scream tracker.  a tracker before time was time, dj kornpopz lights up the airwaves with his beats that are phatter than cooking oil.  brother of dj wheeties, boyfriend of the notorious golden gramz.  dj kornpopz volunteers at the local elementary school helping the teachers learn how to use their computers and helps them with new ways to teach fifth graders computer literacy in order to prepare them for the future they will face that will deal primairly with computers. dj kornpopz spent four years in the us navy.  in his travels, he experienced the club scene all over europe and america, and got a feel for the different types of music people like to hear.   his influences range beyond human comprehension and his skill is remarkable, considering that all the music he produces is done at home on a computer with software and his mind.  dj kornpopz was born in meridian, mississippi, lived in the new orleans area for sixteen years and now resides in mariposa, california.

dj wheeties - former cereal killah.  born august 31, 1982.   also lives in california.  like his brother, dj kornpopz, wheeties is fluent in the languages of the dial, the knob, and the button.  dj wheeties carries under his belt an assortment of magic beans which he uses to create his superfly beats day after day.

what is the pu-tang clan?

the pu-tang clan is just three djs who want their music to be heard.  we are from two different areas and coordinate our efforts via the internet and a lot of caffiene.  we get our inspiration from a lot of different things.  all we can say is you should listen and we hope that you like it.

our music consists of everything from house to acid to experimental to dance.  its pretty tripped out.

why the pu-tang clan?

because we are pimps.

how much music do you guys release on average?

it all depends on how inspired we are.  sometimes we are inspired like the pope, othertimes we are not inspired at all.
